Delighted on this Mothers Day evening to find Golden House completely packed...every table full, and too busy to accept phone orders for takeout. (Short one cook in the kitchen!) I offered to wash dishes. Glad I took a chance and drove to the restaurant rather than somewhere else. Folks standing in line to order or pick up takeouts. Worth the 45 miinute wait! Always quality food and friendly, efficient service. Give them a try if you haven't already.

Exceptionally great tasting chinese food you can ever find ! The place is located in a quiet strip mall in South San Jose. Do not be fooled by the exterior and the quietness of the place. Food is exceptionally good, service is warm, welcoming and very quick and menu is very reasonably priced. Soups are great ! Tried the pepper chicken, chicken in black bean sauce and chopsuey all really good. Silky tofu in garlic sauce was simply superb ! People are very warm and all in all, great food and service!

I was craving Chinese the other day and decided to check out Golden House. Prior to ordering, our server brought us over complimentary hot & sour soup which I loved; it hit the spot. I ordered the General Chicken which consisted of fried chicken with a sweet/spicy sauce. It was missing a crunch factor but was an OK dish. Portion size was quite large. You get a lot of bang for your buck! Hubby ordered the Mongolian beef lunch special which I also enjoyed. I'll definitely be back here for lunch. The service was friendly and food was delicious.

Very good for lunch during the week, though they did just raise their lunch prices, so not quite as good as it was last week. I end up getting the eggplant beef lunch special. Comes with your choice of rice, fried rice, or 'chow mein' noodles. I always get the noodles as they are the thick lo mein style I grew up with. Eggplant comes out with varying degrees of cooking, but is usually very tender and tasty. Beef is good quality and tender. Service is quick and efficient. Free wifi, which is important as this shopping center is in sort of a cell phone dead zone.

Great lunch specials with generous portion sizes. Friendly service. I always come here with coworkers atleast once a week. The broccoli chicken or beef is my favorite. Their soups are amazing too. Highly recommend!
